Longview is known for its "small town" appeal. Founded in 1928, this community of 35,000 was built in the heart of the timber industry. Longview prides itself on being the first "planned" city west of the Mississippi. The 1,000 seat Columbia Theater plays host to many renowned entertainment acts such as; Arlo Guthrie, Don Mclean, Judy Collins & The Smothers Brothers. Longview is also the home of Lower Columbia Community College, the Monticello Hotel and Lake Sakajewa. It's a growing community where everyone's welcome.
