7/14/09 - Riverview Bancorp Reports Positive Earnings in First Fiscal Quarter, Net Interest Margin Expands, Remains 'Well-Capitalized'

Riverview Bancorp, Inc. today reported that an expanding net interest margin contributed to net income of $343,000, or $0.03 per diluted share, for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009 compared to a net loss of $720,000, or $0.07 per diluted share, in the previous quarter. "We generated a solid quarterly profit primarily due to an improved net interest margin and our strong core business model," said Pat Sheaffer, Chairman and CEO.

5/4/09 - Riverview Bancorp Reports Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Year-End Results; Increases Total Risk Based Capital to 11.46%

Riverview Bancorp, Inc. today reported a total loss of $720,000, or $0.07 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009 and a net loss of $2.7 million, or $0.25 per diluted share, for fiscal year 2009 including a $16.2 million provision for loan losses. “We continue to maintain capital levels in excess of the "well-capitalized" regulatory threshold," said Pat Sheaffer, Chairman and CEO, "With our current capital and growing liquidity position, we are confident that Riverview remains well positioned to work through the challenges presented by this current economic period."

3/23/09 - Riverview Community Bank Raises $50,000 for Local Food Banks

Riverview Community Bank announces today that it's annual food drive efforts raised $50,000 in cash and food donations, including a $5,500 matching contribution from the Bank. A total of 26,000 pounds of food were collected in Riverview's 18 branches benefitting 9 local food banks.
