About This Community
The Cascade Park area is noted these days for its quaint streets of upscale single-family homes, as well as new apartments and booming retail industry. This bustling scene contrasts sharply with the countryside of only three decades ago. The City's aggressive annexation policy culminated in the Cascade Park annexation of 1997, the largest annexation in state history, making Vancouver the fourth largest city in the state. Having grown from a frontier trading post to a booming metropolitan area, Vancouver now stands poised to prosper in the twenty-first century.
This area is also home to the East Vancouver Business Association, a community partner whose mission includes supporting and promoting local businesses and neighborhood associations, and instilling cooperation and mutual support of professional and civic goals through networking.
